ZOOM Registration:  All are welcome to join. For getting the access link please send an email to [email protected].

The Buddha’s teaching (Dhamma) is most effective in positively transforming our lives and leading to the end of all suffering when understood and practiced in its entirety. This course’s aim is to offer you a wide-ranging understanding of the Dhamma reaching from very visible facts of life to more complex aspects of the path to freedom.

We are going to look at important texts from the early discourses based on the collection in the book In the Buddha’s Words by Bhikkhu Bodhi, which gives a gradual and systematic presentation of the Dhamma. In these meetings, which will be held every fortnight on Sunday from 19:00 to 20:30 (CET), we will have the opportunity to listen to, contemplate and discuss the teachings and consider practical applications in our lives. Because of the progressive structure it is meaningful to attend every meeting, but you are welcome to join whenever you wish or can.

Bhikkhus, these four times, rightly developed and coordinated,
gradually result in the destruction of the taints. What four?
The time for listening to the Dhamma,
the time for discussion the Dhamma,
the time for serenity,
the time for insight.
These four times, rightly developed and coordinated,
gradually result in the destruction of the taints.
Just as, when it is raining and the rain pours down in thick droplets
on a mountain top, the water flows down along the slope and fills
the clefts, gullies and creeks; these becoming full, fill up the pools;
these, becoming full, fill up the lakes; these, becoming full, fill up
the streams; these, becoming full, fill up the rivers; and these,
becoming full, fill up the great ocean; so too, these four times,
rightly developed and coordinated, result in the destruction of the
taints.
