The Samanadipa Lay Trust warmly invites you to join the annual Kathina Season Celebration on Sunday 20 October 2024.
What is Kathina?
Kathina is a gathering of monks and laity that marks the end of the traditional three-month rains retreat. During the retreat period, monks typically stay within their monasteries and don’t wander through the countryside. Kathina is a time for the lay community to come together and offer cloth and other requisites to the monks, which they might need when they spend prolonged periods away from their monastery or hermitage. We invite you to join us on this joyful occasion.

Samanadipa Hermitage, Goljek 3, Trebnje.
